Mary Abetang obtained a bachelor’s degree in social sciences education from the University of Jos, Nigeria in 2014. She proceeded to the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, where she obtained a Master degree in Teacher Education in 2018, and subsequently, she obtained a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom, in 2019. She has worked as a teacher, lecturer and school principal. She has won various awards, such as: The Commonwealth Shared Scholarship (2018), Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI) West Africa (2018), African Change Maker (2018), Global Peace Ambassador (2019), Distinguished Scholar Awards (2021). She is currently the University of Nottingham’s International Alumni Ambassador (2022-2024). Mary Joined Steph Foundation in 2022, as Charity Lead.
