With an unapologetic passion to contribute, and offer assistance, to less privilege individuals, Queen Christabel Jack representing the CSR department of SISL through the Steph Charity Foundation carried out her official Pet Project on 1st of October themed ‘’Seeds of Change’’ Which aims to provide extramural classes on basic subjects such as English and Mathematics for children living in Rumuokwrushi Community in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The event which took place at the Redeemed Christian Church of God ‘’ Flourishing Parish’’ Rumuokwrushi, Port Harcourt, had over 150 children in attendance, also present at the event were staff of SISL and the Chairman/CEO Dr. Stefano Piotti.
The program kicked off by 9am with an opening speech by Mrs. Itoro Daso, a member of the Parish. To welcome the guest, the children made a very brilliant and colourful presentation on the dangers of child molestation which they themed (P.A.N.T.S)) this was captured with a paper drawing to ensure easy communication to their peers.
Queen Christabel while expressing gratitude and appreciation to everyone who came out to support the project reiterated on the children’s presentation and advice, they should always speak up to the people they trust if they feel endangered in anyway.
Going back memory lane on her pledge to use the platform to reach out to as many people as possible she expressed her appreciation to SISL, the Foundation Decisive, the main sponsors who have been able to make this journey possible.
