Steph Charity Foundation Donates a Borehole Water Supply to Ojimba-Ama Community in Rivers State.

It is with great pleasure we announce to the general public that the family of Mr. Primo Bianchi, an Italian-Nigerian, has constructed and donated a Borehole to the people of Ojimba-Ama community, in Okrika L.G. A of Rivers State, in memory of him, which was commissioned on the 10th of June 2022, by Steph Charity Foundation. Steph Charity Foundation believes that Water and Sanitation are at the very core of sustainable development, which is critical to the survival of people, hence, the borehole project, to replace the community’s source of water supply which has been from an uncovered well, dug since 1958; exposing members of the community, especially children to the risk of water-borne diseases, among other related challenges.

Steph Charity Foundation is also using this medium to inform the general public that there is currently no health care facility at Ojimba-Ama community. Members of the community are lamenting because they are unable to access medical care and over the years, pregnant women and infants have been mostly affected and it is unfortunate that there is no accessible road linking the Ojimba-Ama community to the urban areas where there are medical facilities, because a river divides the community from the urban areas.

Steph Charity Foundation is interested in constructing a mini-health care center for the Ojimba-Ama community and we are calling on the general public to support the Foundation financially to actualize this plan.
